Is Halloween Bad?

Is Halloween really that bad? The debate about the evils of Halloween take place every year during October. Several decades ago, my voice was one crying in the wilderness, issuing warnings about this devil’s day. Thankfully, many followers of Christ have become aware of the spiritual warfare being waged this month. Countless warnings can be found on the internet, and my book “Larson’s Book of Spiritual Warfare” (To order CLICK HERE.) has detailed information about the origins and satanic implications of October 31.

It’s undeniable that all the imagery of Halloween is diabolical, with the emphasis on witchcraft, death, and the macabre. It’s a night of drunkenness, celebrating all the accouterments of evil. Satanists and witches declare openly that this is their season of celebration. But a pertinent question is this: Is the holiday of Halloween really a time of increased demonic activity?

Consider this. God is omnipotent and omniscient. He is always all powerful all the time, and He is everywhere all the time. Satan is not. He must always be somewhere at some time. And his power is limited to circumstances and seasons. Even the devil’s apocalyptic intentions are restricted, as it says in Revelation 12:12, “The devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” Satan must husband, conserve and focus, his evil according to the times and seasons. Halloween, for many reasons established in antiquity (as explained in “Larson’s Book of Spiritual Warfare”), is the time of year that the kingdom of darkness is most active. As an exorcist, during October I encounter more cases of possession which are more fervent and intense.

The holiday of Halloween should be eschewed by Christians and all of its evil associations shunned. It is a good time to educate people about the dangers of the demonic, and it’s definitely a time to be full out against the devil. This is no time for what I call “deliverance lite,” pathetic prayers of wishing the devil away. This is the hour of declaring war on demons and the devil and boldly facing them with the omnipotence of Christ who defeated the devil at the cross.

An encouraging word: GOD GATHERS THE WATERS

Psalm 33:7 contains a profound truth about our physical world. The Psalmist uses poetic language to describe the Lord gathering the waters of the sea into a “heap.” The Living Bible says, “vast reservoirs.” This points back to Genesis chapter one, where the Bible describes the land and water being divided from each other. Such a task is unthinkable to the human mind, so some prefer to suggest this verse is just a metaphor. But my God isn’t that small. He is capable to gathering all the waters of the world in His hands and placing them where He wills. If the Lord God can do that, just think of how he can handle your problems today.
