Roberta lives in San Antonio, Texas, a city that, until
recently, I never held a seminar. During the seminar prayer
time, Roberta stood to indicate her need. When I anointed
her and started to pray, she manifested demons. Even though
she was barely five feet tall, she violently tossed about
two of the biggest men I could find to restrain her. The
evil spirit babbled in a strange, foreign language, that we
later learned came from her Aztec ancestors. They had
performed a blood sacrifice nine generations ago and
brought a curse on the family.
I asked Roberta if she knew of any curses in her life,
she told an amazing story of how her grandmother, who
practiced witchcraft, had cursed her and her mother.
Roberta’s grandmother hated Roberta’s mother (the
grandmother’s daughter), and also despised Roberta. When
Roberta was just five years of age, she saw her grandmother
sneak into the bathroom carrying a jar. When the grandmother
left, Roberta looked in the bathroom and found the bottle
had been left there. It contained a dead human fetus. Under
the bottle were three pictures: an ostrich with a broken
right leg, a child with its face scratched out, and a
triangle.
A few days later, Roberta’s family was in a serious
automobile accident. Her father barely lived, her mother’s
right leg was broken, and Roberta was in a coma three days.
She explained, “The ostrich with the broken leg represented
my mother. The child in the photograph was me.”
“What about the triangle,” I asked?
“That was really odd,” Roberta explained. “My face was
severely damaged and required a lot of plastic surgery. The
doctor said that the center of my forehead was imprinted
with the shape of a triangle.”
But that wasn’t the end of her story. The next 30
years of Roberta’s life were constant torment. Demons
attacked her every night. They threw her around her bedroom
and scratched her until she bleed. In desperation, she
sought out priests and pastors. Each time she told her
story, they said she was crazy and needed to see a
psychiatrist. Roberta explained the amazing miracle of how
she came to my seminar.
“Twelve years ago I had a dream,” Roberta said.
“You came to my door and told me that some day you would
pray for me and Jesus would set me free. I held onto that,
wondering if you would ever come to San Antonio. Then, I saw
your miniseries, “The Real Exorcist”, on the SciFi channel
and remembered my dream. I went to the Internet and found
out that one week later you were coming to my city!”
Roberta was delivered from a powerful Aztec demon that
had tormented her family for hundreds of years. Her
30-year nightmare of torment came to an end. If God
cared enough to reach out to one single mother in San
Antonio, Texas and set her free, He is just as interested in
